Sometimes we sit down with friends and look for that special wine which will do the occasion proud. Other times it might be a lovely dessert you are wanted to compliment. With Yalumba’s Museum Muscat, we believe we have found the perfect wine for you.
This premium Aussie fortified wine is a sweet dessert wine that is rich and luscious with flavours of raisins, nuts and spices and bouquets of honey, apricots and peach.
We find that sweet fortified wines like this Muscat are great to drink after a meal in place of having a dessert (being sweet enough to be a dessert in their own right!). However, they are also great with several varieties of cheese such as Gorgonzola, a platter of dried seasonal fruits, or a chocolate-based cake or flan. Like any wine, food selection really is a personal choice, so don’t be afraid to experiment to find what you do like.
Have you tried any of Yalumba’s fine wines, especially this Muscat? We would love to hear about your experience and any thoughts on food pairing this wine. And if you would like to purchase one or two to try, we have provided the link below (and no, this post is not sponsored by Yalumba).
