What Are YOU Doing This Year To Stay Healthy?

In our travels we meet many people who say they wish they could be like us; travelling the country, living a great lifestyle, enjoying ourselves and making the most out of life. Yet the reality is that we are not doing anything different to what they could do if they were committed to living a healthy and authentic life.

You see, if I am smoking 20 cigarettes a day, I probably have no right to complain that I am short of breath and suffering chronic breathing problems. If I consume fat-filled takeaway food every day, I know that my body will not be able to perform at its best. And if I sit on the couch all day glued to the TV, then I am probably going to lose essential muscle mass and put on weight. 

And so if you do happen to see us in our travels or having a great day out somewhere with our grandkids, you will know that it is only possible because we have made up our minds to live a better quality of life than many others our age, who think it is all too hard and prefer to stay home and do nothing to improve themselves. Please understand that this is not a criticism but a fact. At the age of 60 it would be very easy for both of us to sit all day in our rocking chairs on the porch, do no regular exercise, eat takeaway every day, and smoke like a chimney.

But we choose not to.

We want to be around to watch our grandchildren grow up, and perhaps even to meet our great-grandchildren. And we stand a better chance of being able to do that if we look after ourselves now and in the years ahead.

So let us issue a challenge to anyone reading this today.
