Would you find it surprising to hear that some girls still apply foundation without using any type of moisturizer? It happens, and yet you can’t help but wonder what that is doing to their skin, especially over a lifetime of wearing makeup? But for those of you who do apply a moisturizer first, do you have a preferred way of applying it (and of course a favourite product you swear by? We would love to know!).
From experience and talking to family and friends over the years, we certainly find that the most common practice seems to be giving any moisturizer ample time to dry right after cleansing and before getting out the foundation. Try and rush it, and yep, blotchiness every time, right!
And what about your neck and décolletage area? Hopefully it all gets a light covering, to keep your visible skin looking its best for years to come?
Do you use a brush to apply your moisturizer? Sounds crazy right? Wrong! It seems that more and more girls are realising that our fingers are not always the cleanest things around – changed any baby bottoms lately! Plus a good brush can help apply a more even product all over.
If the idea of using a brush appeals to you, talk to an expert because obviously there are good and bad ones in the mix. Again, we would love to hear from you if you have a fav brand!
And of course, like so much else in beauty and makeup, there are also sponges which some use too, so let uo know if you fit in this category.
As to which method is best. well, you tell us. We have our own thoughts, but would love to know yours too.
